Cannon Family Genealogy

This website explores the roots of four American families:

	The Baumunk family of Ohio and Kansas starting with Philip whose son, John (Johanne?) emigrated from Germany in the mid-1800's.
	The Cannon family of Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Illinois, starting with Robert Cannon, Sr who is thought to have been born in Ireland before 1760.
	The Cech family of Cleveland, Ohio originating with Frank Cech whose son, Anton, emigrated from Austria with his family in 1903.
	The Jackson family of Virginia and Illinois starting with Jacob Jackson who was born in the late 1700's.

Other families who are related to the above four include:

	The Scotts of Pennsylvania dating back to Abraham Scott, born about 1702.
	The Cheathams of Virginia dating back to Thomas Cheatham, Jr, born about 1682.
	The Kepple family of Pennsylvania and Illinois starting with John George Kepple, born in 1770.

This site is named for the Pioneers Clubs that most Midwestern communities established in the late 1800's to honor their early settlers. Philip Baumunk, Robert Cannon, and William H. Jackson were all pioneers and part of the western expansion of the United States in the mid-19th century.
